Well, it looks as though Clara will NOT be added to the transplant list at this moment in time. Now, before you get all sad and frustrated with life, the GREAT news is that the blood work on her liver came back, and her liver is looking awesome! (minus the bilirubin)
So prayers are being answered!! WOOHOO!! Keep on prayin for Clara and family

1 step forward, 2 steps back
Well, Clara lost the weight that she gained. :( This morning Ana had her in the ER for dehydration as well. So please pray for all of them!
In regards to a future transplant. If a living donor transplant is to be done, Clara's donor would need to fit the following mold:
Over 18
BMI in the ideal/normal range http://www.bmi-calculator.net/
B+ or O blood type
Do you fit that mold?
Clara would also need to be healthy enough for the transplant. And at this time, no one is sure if insurance will cover the cost for Clara or a donor.

Keepin' the faith!!
Clara's feeds have moved to every hour, which is paying off!! Miss Clara bear gained six ounces!! Transplant guidelines have a minimum weight of about 12 1/2 pounds, and Clara is currently at about 10 1/2 pounds. So two more pounds (32 ounces) to go!!
Keep up the prayers, good vibes, and positive thoughts, because they are helping!!
We are still working on our non-profit status, once we get that, plans for a benefit can move forward...

Clara's Immediate Needs
I asked Ana today what some of their immediate needs are. She quickly responded that feeding Clara is one of the biggest strains at the moment. Clara needs to weigh about 12.5 pounds to be a transplant canidate, and as of right now, she is about 10 pounds. However, feeding her is quite expensive and her medications are not cheap either.
Right now she is on:
Enfamil Pregestimil Lipil formula (in the green can and is about $27 per can)
Medium Chain Triglyceride Oil (aka MCT oil, I believe Matt said they found these at a health food store)
ABDEKs (vitamin)
And multiple other medications that have to be made specifically for Clara
We thought the best way to go about this was gift cards for at Walgreen's since that is where they get most of Clara's stuff.
So if you can help out, PLEASE let us know. Feel free to email us at clarabearfund@yahoo.com!
